Discover the Cupressus sempervirens Glauca - Pencil Pine Conifer, widely regarded as the finest pencil pine variety available. This stunning Italian conifer is a low-maintenance evergreen featuring an elegant upright columnar form that resembles a pencil, with attractive blue-green foliage that maintains its colour year-round.

Key Features:
This exceptional pencil pine is prized for its naturally tight, compact growth habit that holds its form perfectly with no pruning necessary. Unlike some conifer varieties, the Glauca produces minimal cones, eliminating the unsightly branch-weighing that can distort other conifers. The result is a pristinely maintained appearance that looks immaculate in any garden setting.

Size & Growth:
Mature height reaches 10-15 metres with a narrow width of just 1 metre.

Growth is slow to moderate, developing its growth over a longer period of time (10 years +)

Spacing:

For screening purposes, space plants approximately 50cm apart.  Or plant further apart depending on the look you are wanting to achieve.

Perfect Uses:
> Formal landscape designs

> Narrow screening

> Feature Planting

> Lining driveways and fencelines.

> Mediterranean-style gardens

Growing Requirements:
Prefers full sun to part shade positioning in well-draining soil. Hardy and frost-tolerant, with excellent tolerance to drought, wind, and salt conditions once established. Low-maintenance once established - simply allow its natural form to develop with minimal intervention.
