How tall are the Plants

Each variety grows at different speeds and obtains maturity in each pot at different heights, but generally for the most popular varieties being LILLY PILLYS, CONIFERS OR TREES we can advise the following.

SHRUBS AND OTHER HEDGING VARIETIES WILL HAVE SMALLER HEIGHTS IN THEIR POT SIZES AS THEY ARE MORE ROUNDED SHORTER SHRUBS BUT OBTAIN MORE HEIGHT ONCE PLANTED.

140mm - Approx 20-40cm

200mm - Approx 50 - 80cm

300mm - Approx 1m

400mm - Approx 1.4m

75L - Approx 1.6m to 2m

100L - Approx 2m plus

200L - Approx 2-3m plus

Please note all Approx heights are measured from the top of the pot.  Other varieties please ask us!

How many plants do I need to create a hedge

Firstly you need to measure the length of your designated area.  We recommend spacing plants as follows:

Smaller pot sizes 140mm to 300mm - every 50cm for a quicker forming hedge and up to 80cm apart for a slower forming hedge.

Larger pot sizes 400mm plus - every 80cm for a quicker and more immediate/instant hedge and up to 1.3m apart for a slower forming hedge.

If you are unsure about whether a particular pot size will fit into the width of the designated area please email or telephone us.

How long will my plants take to arrive

Usually within or around one week from when we receive payment from you.

Do I need to be home to receive the plants

As delivery is Kerb-side drop off, it is generally required and recommended that you or someone else is home to receive the plants and to help the driver unload and sign a delivery slip to acknowledge that you are happy with the plants (You can also arrange for a friend or neighbour if you are unable to be home).

However if you order small pot sizes the delivery driver can leave these in a safe place at the front of your property.

Our semi-advanced and mature sizes 400mm, 75L, 100L, 200L & 400L will require you or a number of people to help the delivery driver to unload the plants.

The delivery driver is unable to walk the plants to your planting location.
