Delonix regia - Poinciana, Flame Tree

This medium sized deciduous tree is known for its vibrant shades of fiery orange/red flowers covering the tree and creating a spectacular feature tree.  It also sports delicate fern like foliage and has a large spread habit.   Thriving in warm dry climates - tropical and subtropical.

Height: Approx 9-12m tall

Positioning: Best in full sun 

Growth Rate: Fast 

Temperament: Tolerates coastal positions, drought tolerant once established.  Not frost tolerant.

Caution: Invasive root system

Perfect for: Larger properties as a feature tree, shade tree, street tree, bird and insect attracting
