Deciduous varieties have more options with colours and flowers
Lagerstroemia indica - Crepe Myrtle
With different varieties flowering in shades of Pink, Purple and White these beauties will be sure to make a statement with their masses of flowers produced all summer long.
They also look fabulous by planting in twos or threes.
Usually grown with a clear trunk and canopy on top these will make a small shade tree in the summer.
Perfect for smaller gardens as these don't get too big, although each variety can achieve different heights.
Acer palmatum - Japanese Maple
If you are after shades of reds and oranges then these are for you! Starting with green foliage in spring and summer, the foliage turns to fiery shades of reds and oranges in autumn.
Some other varieties have more orange tones - Acer palmatum 'Sango Kaku/Senkaki' or purple tones Acer palmatum 'Atropurpureum'

Dracaena Draco - Dragon Tree
Another trendy variety set to make a dramatic impact.
When the trees are young they will have a short single clear trunk with one head of foliage (which we think when young look just as lovely). As they age (and this can take a long time as they are a slow grower) they will start to branch out and create more heads of foliage on the branches.
Magnolia 'Teddy Bear'
For a more classic look the Magnolias are a no brainer.
With gorgeous shiny dark green teddy bear shaped foliage and large creamy white flowers and a beautiful form these are a showstopper.
Also fabulous planted in a row or on their own as a single tree.
Stays neat with no need for maintenance.
Xanthorrhoea - Grass Tree
A modern look the Grass Trees are unique and an iconic Australian Native Tree.
Thick black trunks and a grassy head of foliage on top.
Corymbia ficifolia - Grafted Dwarf Eucalypts
These natives are stunning trees with gorgeous flowers and gumnuts in a range of colours.
The downfall is these are at times hard to come by. They are more readily available from our Melbourne growers for our Melbourne customers however they come in and out of availability in NSW for our NSW and Qld customers so you will need to check with us!
